Help to save a life with free Hailsham workshop

Residents are being urged to make sure they know how to use life-saving defibrillators by attending a free event in Hailsham this week.

St. John Ambulance volunteers are giving demonstrations on how to use the devices that are found around the town – but many do not know how to operate them.

Working with the Resuscitation Council and other partners, the first aid charity will show how to give cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and deliver shocks to the heart with a defibrillator, in a free, hour-long session at Charles Hunt Centre, Vicarage Field, Hailsham, BN27 1BG, between 7.30pm and 9pm on Thursday 18th October.

The event is all part of the Restart a Heart Campaign.
