Police car window smashed on Town Farm

Police in Hailsham are appealing for witnesses after a patrol car window was broken when a ball bearing was fired at it.

Officers were conducting enquiries following a GBH in the area yesterday (Saturday 27 October) when the attack happened on the car.

PC Elliot Tweeted about the incident; “Someone decided to fire a ball bearing through a window of one of our response cars. This car is now out of action during one of the busiest weekends of the year.”

A resident in Mortain Park also reported ball bearings being fired at the windows of their house during the evening.

Anyone with information is being asked to report it to 101.
