A short film to celebrate Christmas in Hailsham and raise vital funds for the town’s Foodbank is in production.
The 2018 Hailsham Song for Christmas is a film which features the town’s shops and businesses who display their festive cheer for the cameras. This year, the film will follow the journey of a small boy who has become separated from his beloved teddy and will hopefully be reunited before the big day following its emotional journey. Then, participants of the film will be lip-syncing to a classic Christmas tune, much like last years production.
The 2017 Hailsham Song for Christmas received more than 15,000 views online and raised over £500 for the Hailsham Foodbank which is dedicated to those who need help and support, especially at Christmas.
Hailsham News and Talk will be hosting a special premiere of the film at the Hailsham Pavilion a week before Christmas where an audience of two hundred guests, including the Mayor of Hailsham, will get a sneak preview of the production before it gets released online.
Director of the film, Paul Gibson commented; “We are really excited about this year’s Song for Christmas and involving many more businesses than last year. It’s important we raise awareness of the town’s Foodbank as recent news has told us it’s in more demand than ever before.”
Residents and businesses are invited to donate what they can to the cause via the official Song for Christmas donation page. Everyone who donates receives a credit on the official film. Click here to donate.
