Airliner circles over East Sussex due to problem

A Boeing 747 is currently circling over East Sussex in an attempt to dump fuel after a landing gear problem was reported on the aircraft.

The British Airways BA65 was heading to Narobi from Heathrow when the issue occured. The aircraft is now dumping fuel off the coast of Hastings before heading back to Heathrow Airport (12:30pm).

Update 13:07: Aircraft landed safe at LHR

Update 12:50: Aircraft heading back to LHR.

Update 12:38: Landing gear is reported to be down and dumping of fuel for a possible return to Heathrow.
