Hailsham Town Council is inviting residents, clubs and local organisations to make greater use of the James West Community Centre after a programme of improvements.

The Brunel Drive venue hosts sports, fitness classes, youth activities, choirs and support groups. Its main hall measures 18 metres by 11.7 metres and can accommodate up to 200 people, alongside two meeting rooms, a kitchen and accessible facilities.

Recent work includes repainting the hall, installing adjustable lighting, improving meeting-room acoustics and adding projection equipment. The foyer has more seating, the car park has energy-efficient lighting, and the hall can now support netball and pickleball.

The council says the flexible spaces are available for community meetings, classes, exhibitions, private celebrations and fundraising events. Prospective hirers can contact the council to arrange a viewing.
